Often thought of as a vegetable and hyped up by millennials, today we will draw an avocado. Avocados are a quick and fun fruit to draw and are perfect for all types of crafts and projects. You can make stickers, repeat patterns, and even sublimation designs for mugs. You can draw an avocado in three easy steps with basic shapes and shades of yellow, green, and brown.

For this drawing guide, we are using Procreate. You can use any medium on hand to draw your avocado clipart, from paint and pastels to digital apps like Affinity Designer and Photoshop.
Are you thinking of adding a cute font to your illustration to make sublimation crafts? We have thousands of fonts, from retro-style to fancy script fonts, that will work perfectly.
Step 1 - Create Rough Sketches for your Avocado
In the first step, we will use a sketching medium to make a rough avocado sketch. You can use a pencil or a light color of your chosen drawing medium.
First, sketch a tall oval that is rounder at the bottom and narrower at the top for the main shape of our avocado.

In the center of your avocado, close to the bottom, draw a rough circle for the seed. Then at the top, sketch a half circle to add the stem.

Step 2 - Outline your Rough Sketches
With our rough sketches complete, we will move on to the next step and create a defined avocado outline using a lining tool. If you do not have a pen or marker, you can use a black color of your chosen drawing medium. You do not have to outline any sketch lines that overlap or ones you do not want to include.

Step 3 - Add Color to your Avocado
Add some color to your drawing in our third and final step with your coloring medium. For the color palette, you can use pale yellow, green, and brown or change it up with different colors for your fruit clipart.
To color and add texture, we used the "rough edge" ink brush from this ink Procreate brush pack. Starting with the main shape, we used a pale yellow for the center and added two shades of green around the edges.

On the stem and avocado seed, apply shades of brown. Add the lightest shade and layer on the darker shades around the edges. Feel free to add more textures or blend colors to create a gradient effect.

That's it, you are done with your avocado drawing. You could also change the base and seed shape to create unique vegetable clipart such as a heart or star.
