For this tutorial, you will need the image of Person or Statue with a neutral background.
1 - In Photoshop, open the image you chose.

2 - “Duplicate” your Layer (Command/Control + J).

3 - “Desaturate” the image to make it look like it is “Black & White” (Shift + Command/Control + U).

4 - Adjust the “Levels” (Command/Control + L) to contrast it a bit more.

5 - Go to Image > Adjustments > Shadows/Highlights and play around with the values to contrast it more.


6 - “Invert” your image (Command/Control + I).

7 - “Duplicate” your Layer (Command/Control + J), “Invert” it again and change the “Blending Mode” of the duplicate to “Darker Color”.


8 - Make a “Duplicate” of your duplicate and change the “Blending Mode” to “Overlay” and the “Opacity” to 10%.

9 - Go to the Adjustments” Panel and make a “Color Balance Adjustment Layer” using the following values:


Change the “Blending Mode” to “Color Dodge”.

10 - “Duplicate” your “Color Balance Adjustment Layer” (Command/Control + J) and change the “Blending Mode” to “Overlay” and the “Opacity” to 60%.

11 - Create a “Vibrance Adjustment Layer” using the following values:

Change the "Blending Mode" to "Screen" and lower the “Opacity” to 30%.

12 - Your image should look similar to this:

* Depending on how light or dark your image is, you may need to use different settings, values and Blending Modes to achieve a good result
