Step 1 - Create Sketches of your Pizza
Start drawing your pizza rough sketch with your sketching medium. This can be any removable medium like a graphite pencil. Or use a light color of your chosen medium that you can hide with outlines or color.
Create your Base Shape
Create the base shape of your pizza art by sketching a circle. Change your base shape to create a themed fast food drawing, such as making a heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day clipart. You also have the creative freedom to change your toppings to match your style or the theme you are creating for.

Add your Toppings
With the base shape sketched, let’s add some toppings. First, sketch a large topping like cheese. Simply draw a circular wavy line going around the inside of your base shape.

Add another topping such as pepperoni slices. To make your pepperoni slices, draw a few circles randomly inside your cheese topping.

Lastly, add smaller-sized toppings like cubed red peppers and mushrooms. You can add any toppings you want, like pineapple pieces, or fetta cheese.
Have you seen our tutorial on how to draw an avocado? You could get creative by making a sliced version.

Step 2 - Outline your Pizza Rough Sketch
In the second step of our drawing exercise, switch to an outlining medium to create your pizza outline. Begin outlining your toppings, while only lining overlapping sketch lines that you want to keep. So be sure to pay close attention to your rough sketches.

Then, trace and outline your wavy cheese line and base shape. Once you are done, remove any rough sketches to clean up your drawing.

As an optional step, you can use your lining medium to create pizza slices. You would need to divide your pizza into eight or fewer equal pieces.

Step 3 - Add Color to your Pizza
Add color to our pizza drawing, using any color you have on hand or matching the type of pizza you are creating. For our color palette, we used brown for the base, yellow for the cheese, and a mixture of red, beige, and green for the toppings.

Using darker shades of your base colors, add texture shading to create depth in your food illustration. We used a variety of textures from these ink Procreate brushes to add our shading.

What a deliciously looking food drawing you created! Just imagine how good your pizza clipart will look with your crafts and projects. We hope we have inspired you to make more food clipart.
