Discover how to make your emails stand out with email signatures in Canva.
Aside from an email header, we can also create an email signature in Canva. An email signature, also known as an email footer is a part of your brand appearance that is more than just your name and job title. It gives your recipient important information about your company and provides additional marketing opportunities.
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create a professional and visually compelling email signature in Canva from scratch and what elements should be included in your email signature.
Step 1: Create a new document
Create a new document with customized dimensions by tapping the Custom Size button and entering your preferred dimension. For our email signature, we are going to use 800 x 400 px. Next, click the Create a new design button.

Your design space will appear in a new window.

Step 2: Add elements
A good email signature should include the following elements:
1. Headshot
Insert frame for the headshot-On the editor side panel, click elements> frames> see all.

Scroll down to see all the available frames. We're going to select this circle button frame.

Change the frame color-Select the frame and click on the color tile on the toolbar. The colors and other color suggestions from your existing document will be displayed on the editor panel on the left. Click on a color to change the color of your background. We're going to choose royal blue.

Insert photo-We will use this stock photo of a smart woman with glasses from the Design Bundles Plus Membership that I have uploaded earlier. Go to upload, click the photo and drag it inside the circle frame. Adjust the placement of the photo inside the frame.

2. Name, company, job title
To add text, click the text button > Add a heading or just simply type "T" to quickly add a textbox. With the sample text selected/highlighted, start typing the name, company, and job title. You can change the text's font, color, and size. You can change everything mentioned from the toolbar shown above after you have selected the text.

3. Company logo
Adding your company logo makes it easier for the recipient to quickly identify your company. Go to upload, click the logo you've uploaded, it will be added to your design. Adjust the placement of your logo.

4. Company physical address
If your business has a physical location, add your company's address to make it easier for your potential client to find you. Add a new text and type your company's physical address. You can change the text's font, color, and size from the toolbar above.

5. Social media icons
Prospective clients verify the credibility of a company they want to have business with by checking on the company’s social presence, so including social media icons to your email signature that link to your official profile on a social media platform is equally important.
Social media icons are available from the Canva library. You can search for it by clicking elements > typing on the search bar the social media keywords(e.g. Facebook icons, Instagram icons, etc.) >enter> graphics> click on the icon style that you want and it will be added to your design.

Change the colors of the icons for a uniform look by selecting the icon>color tile on the toolbar > selecting a color from the editor panel on the left to apply the color change.

6. Marketing banner
Banners provide a great opportunity to share more information about your company's products, important announcements, or some call-to-action statements that could be used for marketing campaigns.
To add a banner, from the editor side panel, click elements> Lines and shapes> see all.

Scroll down to see all the available shapes. We're going to select this basic rectangle with drop shadow. Adjust the size and change the color to match the company's visual identity.

Add your marketing statement - add text and type your company's featured product or service, an announcement, or a call-to-action statement.
